ULTRASOUND TRAINING COURSE, MALAWI COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES
Imaging Malawi is working closely with Malawi Ministry of Health, Malawi University of Health Sciences, University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) Global Radiology Program and RAD-AID international to build capacity in medical imaging in the Country.
Our Team is facilitating the organization of annual learning conferences in Ultrasound in Malawi, training programs and workshops, as well as participating in the implementation of the first Diagnostic Ultrasound Curriculum in Malawi.
In November 2021 we held the first Ultrasound Training Course at Malawi College of Health Sciences in Blantyre, in partnership with Malawi Ministry of Health and its Health Technical Support Services Department. Our training program was based and adapted on the level of knowledge of participants, that we evaluated in the previous months with questionnaires and knowledge tests that had been distributed to a group of healthcare workers from five different hospitals in Malawi.The course was structured with lectures in the morning and practice with the ultrasound machines in the afternoon.
